I usually slow my mind down by listening to some enya, I used my computer to make a mix that didn't have any words, mostly because when I hear words, I try to understand them. that makes me forget that I am trying to calm my mind down. I then tryto not think about anything. then I try to let the enya take over and let it relax me. maybe try finding some sort of music that is relaxing to you?

there isn't any one way or reason for meditation. it's something that can help anybody. the website says to sit, I usually lie down myself though, a lot of times lieing down is discouraged because you fall asleep, so you just need to decide what would work for you. here are a few additions to what the website has to say..

when you meditate, decide on what you want to meditate about beforehand. after you have calmed yourself, start thinking about what it felt like to not be so anxious. remember how much better it felt than how you have been feeling lately. ask your body if it will let go of the anxiety. remember that all of this is going to revolve around feeling, how you feel, so try not to do anything to swiftly, because that can throw off your concentration on what you are trying to do. I think that if you did this in the morning and/or the night you would start getting some pretty amazing results after a while.

who knows, maybe you'll think I'm a nut but hey.. it worked for me!! still does!!
