Re: Of Wrapping Fungi and,

Thanks, CLEW.

You're pics are the greatest.

The creepy crawly was getting to the point... it felt like this white/transparent/translucent crud was linking up.....

I know a bit about some fungal things.... I have done sterile culture work, terminating in Feb., 1981.

I know about taking things from spores... growth from spores linking up... and forming a mycelial network.

Possibly this crud does something similar.
Might account for what so many refer to as biofilm.
Felt as though some linkage was taking place, and expansion.

From time to time the thought comes to mind that I already have what I need to fight this thing.
I don't know whether this is true or not.

But.... proceeding on this... I calmed myself, "asked," what to do...

I have Sea Salt , kosher salt, and iodized salt.
I picked the iodized salt because of the idodine.

Put some in a small food storage container.
Put some powdered citric acid in... available at canning section of wallyworld.
Put in some 100% aloe vera.
Put in some White Rain body wash, Fresh Mountain Spring.
Mixed with spoon.
Put in some warm water.... not too much...

Got in shower.
Dipped a dry fluff in this.
Started on scalp, then to arms... and to entire body.
Left it on for a couple minutes.
Some spots burned.
Didn't close one of my eyes enough and some got it.... immediate wash of eye... all is well there.

Then rinsed in shower.
Used some J&J baby shampoo on scalp, body.
Rinsed.

Looked at arms.
That crud couldn't stand it.
Just a few very small things.
Easily wiped off.
There was a larger thing.... no longer winding/wrapping.
No.
Hanging lip over a hair.
Reminded me of a dead snake.
From time to time I have to dispatch a poisonous snake on property that tries to take up residence too close to the house proper.....
Reminded me of one of the dead snakes when I pick it up with a stick and walk over to the tree line to give it a toss.

And that one came right off with a wipe.

Much better as I type this, early morning.
World O' Difference.

I cleaned a radio that I have set to white noise to help with sleep.
24 hours later there are some of the white/translucent/transparent portions of the Thing on it.

Picked a thread with a, "mass/ball," attached.
There was actually movement from the thing... evasive maneuver as the filament contracted much to the ball.

Took a look under 100x.
Filament with some kind of ball, opaque, white.

I won't be doing the above formula everyday.

I will save it for when the Thing is, what feels like to me, linking up, going for a mat, and is at that nearly overwhelming stage.

I previously paid little attention to this white dust thread thing....
I saw it when I looked at the colored things...

From what I can see, now that I'm looking, it does appear to be more of it than the other aspects of the Thing.

I will proceed this week with contacting some clinical (sometimes termed, "medical,") mycologists.

I have a list for locals thanks to a Google search.

We are at a great disadvantage, not having Big Gun resources.

I would like to test one of these things... actually it would have to involve a number.... in passing a signal through... and light through.... in terms of possible fiber optic capability.
A way to know for sure is to run such tests.

I don't have this equipment myself... at least, not that I can think of off the top of my head.

A goal of mine is to enlist the interest of a PHd at a university... so much so that such can enlist others in a quest to identify.

Clinical mycologist, microbiologist, tropical disease (for the possible nematode portion).... a concerted effort from/among a number of disciplines.

I will keep trying along this line.
I don't have the time to become an, "expert," in all these fields.
