Few things... You not alone. Simple it's an ugly arm race for survival between organisms. Our ancestors were infected badly with parasites and managed to survive since the immune system had to adapt rapidly just to keep you alive (some died before the immune system fully adapted). Our immune system don't have adaptation to get rid of them. It knows that it's fighting a losing war. But it's main purpose is to keep you alive so you can reproduce and die in the end. Well our immune system does try to create an 'antidote' via TH2 response but parasites mutate to avoid it. It's not beneficial for parasites to wipe us out... They do have capabilities to do it oh yes trust me but that won't make them 'parasites'. It's horrible to live with them but would you let them take control over your life?
