Your digestive issues might be a result of eating non-sprouted almond butter as most nut butters aren't sprouted and contains phytic acid that is absolutely devastating. Out of the spirit of self-experimentation, I have tried a diet consisting of high phytic acid foods and it has messed me up very badly. Lack of digestion, grey hairs, joint pain, cavities, fatigue, you name it. Never will I consume another nut, seed, etc. without sprouting them first :)
