6 years on iodine!

A little late update this time; 5 years ago I entered this forum, after approx 1 year on iodine;

I was quite steady the second year, then did the mistake of taking too little, replaced it with kelp;

3th year;

Then I hit a plataeu the fourth year; not much happened, but seeing back at it I believe it was important as the body could catch up with things. No detox, just building the reserves or something.

5 th year; the alkymist year, sulfur, gold, golden year. //www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=2023570#i

So, back to now; the last year I had a slight setback, some old symptoms came creeping back, like splitting nails, a little insomnia/ "allergy"= adrenal fatigue, and not the energy I used to have. Not much, no crisis and it could have been due to stress, etc etc, but I knew something was going in the wrong direction.

I upped the iodine, then quit it for a few days, not much happened until I decided to try potassium. Reason why is that I have taken loads of salt for 7-8 years, and V kept nagging about it. In the back of my mind I realized I couldnt possibly fill in with the potassium; even if my vegetable intake is fairly high. Finally I managed to find a supplement of it, chloride form (tip for the europeans, netshops for wine and beer making)

Since then I got the energy back, better sleep, nails good within the one month I have taken it. +++

and a warning;

So, I am back in business, definitely. I notice an greater energy within 20 minutes of taking potassium, similar to when I took Iodine in the beginning. 5-6 grams taken in water divided during the day. Funny thing is that the craving for salt have diminished; I then wonder if it was the chloride I was craving in addition to sodium!!

Also the last year I have tested some more lithium supplement; in chloride form. Been very positive, I will go in depth with it some day, as I am still in the experimental phase. But it is a factor to consider for us taking iodine.

Iodine dosage, I know someone will ask:) yes, one big dropperful of lugols, with vit C, fruit juice or smoothie in the morning. Or coffee:)) Approx 100 mg most days of a week.
