Do what you need to do, for sure. But in the long run if you stick to it, you'll probably find the more gunk you get out, as long as you're sticking to a diet that doesn't promote mucoid plaque (dairy, refined carbs, meat), the better you'll feel and lighter and more refreshed also.

Last night was horrendous. I felt really depressed and sick with a ball in my stomach... today I passed the longest and most weird looking 2 foot long piece of Mucoid plaque ever. Looked light grey and like a bunch of ropes with grapes hanging off the sides. That's when you know you're getting down to the the last of it, when you pull out those grape like protrustions.. or the fecal matter that was squished into the sides of your intestines.
