Re: Hypoglycemia from chamomile, milk thistle and ginger

There is a link between adrenal fatigue and hypoglycemia.

If your adrenals are burned out, they can't secrete cortisol, a hormone that is normally secreted when blood Sugar levels drop. When blood Sugar levels are low, cortisol immediately stimulates the production of glucose and returns blood Sugar levels to normal. Due to your adrenal fatigue, when you consume something that lowers your blood sugar, such as chamomile, milk thistle, and ginger, you're left with no defense and you feel the hypoglycemic symptoms of low blood sugar.

Solution: avoid any herbs that lower blood sugar (as well as sugar, starchy / refined carbs, caffeine and alcohol - all which spike and drop blood sugar levels)- and focus on treating your adrenal fatigue - and your body will begin to secrete cortisol again.
