Re: Relieving symptoms and recovery

You mention about having hormone tests - yet i find it incredible your doctor has you on HC and DHEA without doing any tests for levels! They just hand this stuff out like candy and for others who HAVE had tests and are deficient they have to fight to get HC etc! So ironic!

IF you got tests for your hormone levels, it's best you stop the HC and DHEA for at least a month before testing.
Taking both of those things now won't give you accurate major hormone levels, you really should have done an endocrine panel before going on hormones.
The only way to get back to 'base-line' hormone state is to stop all hormones for a good few weeks to get them fully out of your system - even tho' you've only been on them a week.

Interesting that they haven't made much difference yet. Sometimes they can take time to level-out your natural levels.

ALWAYS reduce dose slowly and taper off from the HC and DHEA slowly so you don't experience a sudden drop-off of levels, which in some can cause 'crash' like symptoms.

Ideally, you also want to be off of glandulars to test your true hormone levels too.

An endocrine panel is useful to get BEFORE taking anything for suspected endocrine problems.
It's really hard to read a hormone results of a person on hormone therapy because most levels will be sky high due to supplementation.
