Cell Phone transmitters

I live in a 9-story apartment building, and on top, I have noticed, are around ten Cell Phone transmitters on the roof, about four per side. These are white, vertical rectangles, about a foot across and maybe 4 feet in length.
I have heard that "side lobes" deflect the radiation down, into the building below, in such a set-up.
Do these things pose more of a risk to us, underneath, than they do to the general public? (I am going to buy an EMF monitor and take some readings on each floor). Tweet
