FNA came back as Thy3a.

Hello,

So I've just had the results of a second FNA. The first was inconclusive. This one is 3a ( i cant post url but rcpath. org has an article dealing with classification. )

The consultant suggests removing half my thyroid so that proper biopsy can be done. I can also have further FNA to see if result changes to a different one - apparently this can and does happen

My do any nodule has increased in size and I have been supplementing with Iodine and cofactors for around 6 weeks.

Please give me your thoughts.
