Hello, though I agree that PCOS is quite a common diagnosis for irregular periods I do not think that diagnosis can fit all circumstances, for example, how can you decide its PCOS, when MRI scans show no visible signs of the cysts, or other irregularities? One can argue that they may not appear upon scans because its either a primitive state, but what if the females androgen levels are not unbalanced as well as her hormones?


Though I know this is left sparing, the fact remains that this subject still has unusual and irregular intervals of her cycle and, for example,encounters a lot of pain to endure prior to her spontaneous cycle.

I personally think hormones would be the culprit- as in theres a delay in the signalling for the period to occur, but then what are the blood test results? Why do they prove the opposite?

Does is have to be cysts?
If you know of other conditions that may fit similar symptoms, please let me know. I am lost for answers.
