Re: The black sheep big brother
Msavoy07, I appreciate your words of support and kindness and you, too, will emerge, survive, and heal. You've done the hardest thing, and that was to "accept" the situation(s) for what it was: TOXIC.
Whether it's a disordered sociopath or just someone who thrives upon the misery of others, toxic people drain us of our identity, our qualities, and our healthy "Self-isms."
"No Contact" is the most challenging choice after "acceptance." Do we want to know what the disordered are doing? Sure, we do - we're human beings. Do we want to tell them all about themselves and what their actions have caused? You bet we do! Will it make any difference or cause the toxic people to recognize what they've caused? Nope - no, and heck no. They do what they do because they CAN, and they CAN because they have a total absence of empathy, conscience, and remorse.
"No Contact" puts a buffer of reality between the manipulations and our own Selves. The further we are away from the toxicity, the clearer we are able to see through the facades.
So, congratulations to you, Msavoy07 - you are priceless in this vast Universe and you are worthy and deserving of health, happiness, and well-being! A couple of sites that you can visit:
