It seems that he is being proven correct, at least about Baking Soda and water solution having a remarkable effect on tumors and metastasis. The University of Arizona in partnership with Wayne State University and the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute published their research back in 2009 called "Bicarbonate Increases Tumor pH and Inhibits Spontaneous Metastases". It seems that bicarbonate (baking soda) and water either slowed down or stopped the progression of cancer to other organs in tumor induced mice. Please read up. Also, PubMed has numerous research docs on how acid plays a major role in tumor progression and spread. Tumors seem to target the most acidic body organs first. According to the research, Baking soda solution, ingested, blocks cathepsin B, an important matrix remodeling protease that cancer tumors need for their expansion.
