What Has Worked For Me
Here is an update on me -
Ok, so I tested last year for TMAU and got a negative result. Since then I've been on a vegetarian diet and I'm allowing myself some of the food I had banished from my diet.
Basically, because I was able to rule out TMAU I have concluded that my problem comes from a drug/chemical sensitivity and that my body is also very vulnerable to bacteria. I also have IBS around my period, which is also kind of sucky. So basically everyday I try to maintain my hygiene and avoid my "triggers". I'm going to write down some of the details in hopes that it could help some of you out there.
Triggers - Caffeine, medications, alcohol, herbs(Ex:garlic), laxatives.
What helps to keep the bacteria down: Washing with Neutrogena soap, Crystal Body Spray, tongue scraper, homemade mouthwash, netti pot(for sinuses), multivitamin.
What helps with IBS around period: Loperamide, chlorophyll capsules.
I live a relatively normal life now that I've found this balance. I do allow myself some green tea once a day, but it's far less than the 4 cups of coffee I used to drink. I'm a lot more social now and dating.
I really hope this info will help someone. Feel free to message me.
