Cancer and curing it

Cancer is near epidemic levels. We can speculate and assume what the causative agents are for most of our cancer.

Do most of you accept these factors? If you know someone with cancer or you yourself has cancer do you feel forced into the conventional world of cancer treatment?

I see postings about alternative treatments but I am not seeing discussions regarding cancer proportionately equivalent to the amount of cancer cases that are out there. My thought is may many just accept what they believe is inevitable, and go along with it. Or is that society has convinced the majority alternative is quackery to keep the majority in a strong hold?

I also see many believe alternative cancer treatments should be free if researchers believe they work but accept paying 50 to 70 thousand a month for conventional, just because insurance picks up your bill; you still are charged that figure, so why don't people complain? For me I will gladly pay a half month's chemo for complete treatment of cancer; I think life is priceless.

Maybe this posting will go unanswered, but I am hoping to get some dialogue going and discover what people are thinking, what they would like to see and what people would like to be given for help or options.
