ja, that why I asked for The V forum, for the OT stuff. but, there's no answer other than for moderators to take these threads on a case-by-case basis and do whatever seems appropriate. some OT stuff is good, some other is very divergent. One option is to move the posting to another forum, but people who write I think will take offense to that, like they made a bad judgement call putting a thread in a "wrong" forum. When I was moderator I tried to put things in their place - sometimes things that get asked on this forum would get better answers elsewhere. There's no easy answer, just that people maybe need to learn to not get upset if their postings get moved to another forum. Then again, there's enough activity here that even the most OT thread will eventually move down and go off the main page fairly quickly, so, there really isn't a problem. Seven years and its worked out fairly well, considering that most people on here are ill in one way or another. At this stage my vote would be to have things continue as they are, and trust the moderators, they''ve done a great job IMO.
