Re: Another case of lip-biting (post-Accutane)

And yeah, it definitely is related to dandruff/shedding cycle, which is related to sebum/oil production yeah? And I think that, when Accutane messes up with the sebaceous glands, it pretty much messes up how your body produces oil...I feel like, because I am usually always dry now my body has to compensate by overproducing, which may cause the excessive shedding and seb derm on my face...or it could just be oil in general.
The derm told me she did not see any sort of infections going on, which is good. I just wanted to make sure there was nothing like that...but she said that Accutane can cause permanent damage to the lips as well as skin (which is no surprise to me by now) and that I prob have eczema (again, no surprise) so I will have to moisturize religiously. As for the peeling, it's gotten better since I've just left the skin alone and applied shea butter, which is prob my favorite moisturizer. So far, the skin has stayed on pretty well, and even if it turns white, I leave it as best I can.
I think it's the only viable solution for now. Hopefully in time, things can get better. I know ginseng is already helping my rashes significantly, so I'm hoping the lips/peeling cycle can improve as well.
