Agree.! The worst, contrary to the popular thoughts, short antifungal courses promote resistance. Most of the acquired resistance to Fluconazole is the result of these ridiculous short treatments. The azoles are fungistatic, so treatments using them should be long term. An irony is mainstream medicine insists people take the complete treatment round when they prescribe Antibiotics . The Antibiotics are bactericidal. They kill bacteria. Fungistatic Rx antifiungals only inhibit the fungal growth, so how is possible they only prescribe one or two tablets ??
