Do you think certain types of antibiotics can lead to severe SIBO instead of fungal candida. I know someone who took antibiotics for months and they developed a bad bacteria overgrowth instead of fungal candida. Makes me wonder if it was the specific type of antibiotic he took that led to a bad bacteria overgrowth rather than fungal candida overgrowth. Maybe all antibiotics are not created equal in terms of what kind of dysbiosis/imbalance they can create in the gut?
Either way antibiotics can be devasting for someone's health. Its sad to see parents giving their children antibiotics feeling like they are at the mercy of the doctor's decisions. They just don't realize how much damage antibiotics can really do. As you said they are over reacting to the situation rather than really thinking it through. A lot of that can be based on the doctor driving to much fear into the patient/parent as well. Good post.
