Leave it alone method

I have this crust that stays on my lower lip for a week now. i wanna "experiment" by not touching it, no peeling, no cream. nothing. Just to see what happened when it falls on its own.

I am curious to see if the area will be as red as usual or if another thin layer will be already forming underneath.

Do you guys think that this is how the leave it alone method works?
