Re: Urine cortisol exam, are my values low?
Hi purple,
first, thanks for you long answer.
I have anxiety for 3 years and here I haven't much help from my doctor.
My endocrinologist said that testosterone is normal because it isn't very accurate (although I have tested it two times and it is always low).
Can you say me if saliva is different from blood dhea?
So if I send saliva cortisol (or dhea) I don't need neither courier nor ice?
My big problem is that I have low desire to make low, low sex drive.
I have libido only if I wait 10 days without sex, then it's ok but after love I have stiffness muscle, like fibromyalgia and depression.
I'm a very shy person but my problems started 3 years ago.
I felt very tired for weeks, than I have a panic attack and a chronic hives for 1 year that went away without any medicine.
In that period I woke up every night at 3:00 a.m. with terror and shakiness.
Now I see an improvement with inositol and vitamin D, but when my anxiety start I feel like I can't stop my adrenaline.
My anxiety has these symptoms:
-restlessness, I can't sit still and I move legs on the chair
-twitching tongue, due to tension
-internal tension without a reason (adrenaline surge?)
-impatiens
-stiff neck
-overactive mind, I have often music in the head
-perfectionism and ocd tendency
-underarm sweating
I start to read about adrenal fatigue, problem that italian doctor don't know.
If I speak with a doctor of AF, I will consider me hypochondriac.
I know to have a physical problem…
Now I start home tests of adrenal fatigue but I'm a bit confused.
My pupils doesn't widen after 30 seconds of light, it continuously contracts and enlarges (then I test on my brother and he have the result?!)
I have done the morning temperature test for a week and I often have 97.2 97.3° (according the test, if the morning temperature is lower that 97.8° can be a sign of hypothyroidism).
I make a mistake in the blood panel I posted.
TSH, FT3 and FT4 are values of 02-2011
In 2010 it was TSH 4.359 uIU/mL
Now, TSH 2.077 uIU/mL
I have no FT3, FT4 because my doctor doesn't want to prescribe me.
I suffered also of chronic morning stomach pain, and chronic sore throat with lot of mucus.
The doctor said I have esophageal reflux and throat pain was an effect of this.
I took a gastroprotective medicine every night for 3 years without results.
So I decided to order inositol, NAC, vitamin D, vitamin C and magnesium which I take every day and my morning problem is disappeared in one week!!!
Do you understand why I don't rely on doctors?
I don't know what supplement help me but I guess that vitamin D or vitamin C help me.
Another supplement that works well on me is Tyrosine, when I take it I feel very energetic in the morning, a feeling I haven't felt for years.
Sorry for my long post, but I doesn't speak with anyone of my condition.
What do you think?
Thanks
