Re: Truth
"There are many paths, but only one way to find God!
John 14:6
King James Version (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me.
Acts 4:12
King James Version (KJV)
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under
heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
You have to keep in mind that Jesus spoke those words in Aramaic (John 14:6)
and that the New Testament has been translated from Greek with the oldest copies
dating to about 125 AD. None of the gospels were written by Matthew, Mark,
Luke, or John. So even if we had the originals in hand the authors are
still anonymous. Keep that in mind, Jesus spoke Aramaic, the NT is
translated from Greek. Add to all of that the King James version of the
bible was an antique when it was published in 1611 and it is filled with errors
and conflicts. It is written in a version of English that was outdated in
its day. Then, and most important, the Evangelical ministers "tell
you" what it means when even they don't what it means. So John 14:6
is generally interpreted by realists as "...no man cometh unto the Father
but by my example."
Nobody but nobody knows who wrote the book Acts (or the gospels either, for
that matter). The Gospel of Q is considered by the experts as the single
source for the gospels and you won't find either of your verses in the
Gospel of Q.
All one has to do is to use logic in what you have written. The
earliest humans in Europe were there at least 200,000 years ago. Fully
developed brains with language. Science has recently opined that the
Neanderthal was even more intelligent than humans and even cross bred with
humans and that humans have from 1 to 4 percent of Neanderthal genes.
My point is, are you going to take all of the humans and Neanderthals who
never heard of Jesus - including people on the Planet today, and throw them into
an ever burning hell? Every human being on the Planet is a child of
God. Would your father send you to hell for not believing a certain
way? I seriously doubt it.
