is drinking alcohol safe during the mc and if not what will happen if iam two days in do it?

i need to know if alcohol is safe during the mc and if not than what will happen if i am two days into the mc and do drink? today is my second day and we are planning on going to a local pub to check out a band. i am usually a party girl and i do not know if i am going to handle be around all of my freinds while they are drinking and me only drinking water. i do not know if i will be able to get through the rest of the night. we'll see.
