Himalaya Liver Care and lead toxicity

So, I've been using Himalaya Liver Care for a few months because it came highly recommended, and it seems to help. My liver function tests have not improved much, however, and I recently got a diagnosis for severe chronic lead and mercury poisoning. I figured Liver Care would only assist the detoxification process. I ended up in the hospital recently, however, and a doctor there told me that some ayurvedic remedies contain lead and mercury, either because of traditional rasa shastra or from contamination. I've only ever read positive studies on Liver Care and I can't imagine it would contain heavy metals, and Himalaya seems like a very reputable company, but I can't imagine how I would have been exposed to toxic metals.
