I usually do 3/8 tsp salt + few ounces of warm water to taste, broth-like salt flavor. Then follow up with 2x water to wash it all down. Never really hurt, but eventually nature calls with so much water in the system. It could be the type of salt. Some on here recommend pickling salt, it's typically closer to pure sodium-chloride without additives like anti-caking agents found in table salt or contaminants found in natural sea-salt.
