Re: Leaky gut and Candida - DIET???
My son had terrible leaky gut problems, the hospital burned his insides with to much calcium citrate and then they said he needed a probiotic and I searched a soil based one out which made his candida in him grow out of control. Because his insides were burned he had to go on omeprazole and then ranitidine which aren't good if you have a candida over growth problem. His intolerances were so bad that I had to feed him every day chicken, brown rice and avocado, turkey or beef because that is what he could only eat. He could eat pear and mango but they were out of the question because of the candida. This went on for a long time when I came across pure rice bran oil which is hypoallergenic and has no carbs. It has gamma oryzanol in it with high vitamin e which is very healing on the stomach and gut. Before the rice bran oil my son could only tolerate about 4 droplets of nystatin at each meal time which was 3 times a day and this kept his candida under control, However, the candida grew resistance to the nystatin because it was such a small dose but luckily I found the rice bran oil had healed him enough to give him a full dose of fluconazole every day and so the gamma oryzanol had started to heal his insides. After just two weeks of taking fluconazole and being on the rice bran oil his
food intolerances started to improve and I introduced eggs, almonds, sunflower oil, cucumbers with the skins off and turnips. He is still improving but coconut oil has caused problems with his stomach, don't know why, he seems to have problems with fats but I think that there must be an underlying condition. All I can say is rice bran oil taken over a few months did wonders for my son.
