Yes, I have come across several stories of people developing EC after going through the Roaccutane treatment. However for me, the EC did not simply continue after the drug intake, but started out of nowhere nearly two years after. So one could say that it might have made me more prone to it, but perhaps it is not the only cause.

Perhaps I am simply naturally or due to the Roaccutane, prone to this problem. Then under the right conditions, it develops easily. This makes me believe that I might have acquired candida through oral sex with my gf, in one particular occasion when she might have had a larger flora than usual, and this triggered the condition. I have not been diagnosed with candida overgrowth (yet), however I remember often seeing my lips with a thin sort of white slime, which looks like this type of colony.

I do not believe any cream or remedy will solve the root cause of this problem, but rather only cover up the effects. So I will try a machine gun approach on nutrition and cleansing.

From next weekend (05/09/13) I will do a:
1. Classic Liver flush
2. Go through an intensive vitamin intake (mostly B and E)
3. Verify if I have candida, and if yes, will attack it naturally and with nutrition
4. Will keep using the 1% PCA NA moisturising lip balm (which works brilliantly well btw; it does not cure the root cause, but makes my lips 80% normal)to keep my lips hanging while they heal

I will make a log of peeling cycles and will take regular pictures, so that if it works (and I am optimistic it will) I can confidently share the cure. The entire process will probably take a few months, and with winter coming to the UK it won't help, but we'll get there.

NB. I have had EC for two years now.
