"No simple man has ever been perfect."
We have been perfected because of the blood of Jesus. That's the point. Of course you do not take the Title of "the Christ"...or "the Anointed One" because you are not "the Messiah". How ever you consider yourself to be a Christian, that means you follow the Way of Jesus, to be Christ-like.

"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you."

I get the feeling you are more perfect than you might think you are.
