Re: cant seem to fast

I take a lot of things to God. I'm still trying to learn to go to Him FIRST, and daily.

However, I also realize that not everyone believes as I do. My suggestion is that if you MUST eat, eat raw or, at least just pick ONE healthy food to eat, and not a combination of food that will just be difficult to digest. I have lost weight doing this. Have only a small portion and move on.

(I know full well what you're talking about. I've done many fasts. I even lasted 39 days. Food remains my biggest 'drug').

Another suggestion would be to write down ALL the reasons of why you wish to fast. Write down ALL of your afflictions. The bigger the list, the better. Fasting may not be a 'cure-all', but it sure does cover a LOT of ground.

Take up exercise. At the very least you DO want better circulation and elimination...regardless of diet. If your blood isn't flowing good, and you're constipated, you're NOT going to feel good no matter what you do or don't do.

The bottom line, however, is that this IS the fasting forum. We all want to fast here.

The best way for me to support you is to tell you what worked for me. Take this problem up with the Lord. And then go to the store and purchase books on fasting.

The information alone, in those books, will definitely not only educate you on fasting itself, but it focuses on just how healthy fasting IS and what it does to help your body.

I am rooting for you.

I KNOW you can do it!

Love to you,
Karen
