Ok. The bowel system is a very complex network of secretions and immunological mechanisms. Enzymes antibodies, multiple biochemicals all react together in combination with billions of microbes all working together digesting organic matter we place in our bodies.

There are times we secrete mucus (not unlike that of the sinuses and other mucus membranes) and sometimes it is composed of a variety of factors which can alter it's consistency, especially if there is an infection.

Reactions of these biochemicals on the stuff we eat, often causes an assortment of phenomenon mistaken as worms, or disease causing objects.

If you have observed this many times over and over again, it soon becomes clear.
