Re: My daughter takes compounded t3/t4 but needs iodine and just found out she's pregnant:)

I would take a drop or two of SSKI , 100 mcg selenium, for the bare minimum of Iodine supplementation of the child. So important for the brain! This doesnt necessarily cause a detox reaction. Even if it does, it is not the fetus that detox. When a woman is pregnant, the nutrients follow a certain route; first the woman`s brain, then all goes to the fetus, brain, body. Whats left is the womans body; it is the last priority. Like stretch marks; a deficiency (zinc vit C etc) easily prevented.

I had 3 miscarriages myself, I suspect Iodine deficiency was a big contributor.
An option is to take kelp only, but I would prefer iodine.

Plenty of salt, the amniotic fluid is almost as saline as seawater. Then magnesium, and vit B`s; to prevent other complications of pregnancy, like eclampsia, preclampsia; magnesium deficiencies.
Also; magnesium is important for the contractions of the birth itself, it is painful, but even more when magnesium is low. Calcium contract, magnesium relax.
Rasberry leaf tea; search it. Best pregnancy herb according to some herbalists.
I would definitely also take some boron.
