Re: Making your own Lugols iodine

The original formula 5% elemental, 10% KI is very near the maximum of what will disolve into the 85% water. Some play with the numbers and add 5% + 10% and call their solution 15% Lugols but it is properley called 5% Lugols as the 5% is intended to refer only to the elemental content.
