Re: Low carb diet but can't stand to eat saturated fat, is the yeast tricking me?

You said: "I felt best and looked best when I was eating fish, chicken with a lot of potatoes and other vegetables but still had symtoms of candida of course", I would recommend you go bck to this kind of diet. When you do this, take a dietary supplement to assist fat metabolism, like Pan-Ox-5 from douglas Labs, or BioGest from Thorne Rsearch. Start low and build dosages up. You may well be able to tolerate fats in time, but don't worry, it may take a few months or even a year, persist with the dig. enzymes.

I would expect that candida would level out over time on your diet that makes you feel at your best, as this state of health will eventually create harmony and balance in your GI tract I'd expect - with a consequence of reduction in the yeast infection. Take some GSE, a few drops a day, if you read my book go back to the section on "special foods" and incorporate this information - not all the best anti-fungals are necessarily fat-based like coconut oil.

Consider yourself blessed that you've worked our a diet that makes you feel great - go back and STICK with it long enough to get your health 100%, because it will happen my friend. I don't really care what folks eat in order to recover, I've even seen patients do OK on bread and fruit, but this is rare. Your frutarian diet was a mistake, I think you went too quickly into it and still had a small bowel bacterial overgrowth, this is a common mistake too many people make, shifting from one diet into another too quickly. My book explains this all in great detail in the food re-introduction section, go back and read this.

All the best.
