I wouldn't recommend it. It would affect beneficial yeast populations, as well as potentially harmful ones. Altering the intestinal flora with antimicrobial is well known to be linked to obesity and othe diseases. The PubMed study you posted shows how this enzyme contributed to weight gain and most likely other gut imbalances.
