Low estrogen can be one cause of headaches/migraines

Just wanted to pip in about estrogen levels and headaches.

I get constant headaches and migraines at night during menstruation due to low estrogen.

My estrogen levels are lower than they should be throughout my whole cycle and have been declining further and the past 3 years have had more headaches than i ever experienced in my whole life.

I actually used to comment how i never get headaches...that was before hormonal problems became an issue.

When i've taken bio-identical progesterone it has alleviated them. However bio-identical estrogen would be a better choice...but estrogen MUST be taken with progesterone.

So, especially for the ladies with headache problems - it is worth investigating your estrogen levels.

Best of health to all.
