My mother has been diagnosed with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. She is sixty years old, and has been a smoker most of her life. She's neither underweight or overweight, yet probably doesn't have the best diet. Despite living in sunny Australia, she probably doesn't get enough Vitamin D, and also doesn't often exercise.
The doctor has recommended chemotherapy, which from all reports provides a cure just 2% of the time. Otherwise I believe she has been given a month to live. If someone could offer advice on what her best options are, that would be great.
