Re: Objective Assessment of an Ionic Footbath (IonCleanse)
well, i read through most of that and the study seems like a good one. even with its limitations it should have been able to detect some in crease in elimination of PTEs somewhere. so the that claim is definitely in question.
they also did a good job of delineating some of the main limations, those for me being the healthy people and the substances tested for, especially in the footbath water. length of sessions and the electronics are also in play.
as an addendum to the study it would have been nice to know the opinion of the treatments by the participants. perhaps a debriefing quiz could have been given at the 12 week mark when hair samples were given.
so now the question is what is going on here? like newprt said, its charging the body's battery. he also speculated that ions of toxins may not be detected by the spectrometer OR they may be floating away. interesting that unknown sources seemed to be contributing PTEs into the water without feet in them. if thats so then plastic must be pretty nasty and probably from recycled material. maybe.
i am not that impressed with the low am treatment. all of my treatments have been 1.5 hours at about 3 amps or 30 minutes at over 10 amps. not only have these treatments effected my overall health and well being in a positive way, when i ran two identical treatments with feet in and feet out there was a quite visible difference in the samples spread over a paper plate and dried. there were oils or something in the water. not a little difference but a quite profound one. without drying them, there was not much difference except in the smell.
thank you for that link.
