I had this for YEARS! It's awful.

IMO there are many possibilities beyond what Dr. Lam said, so if it were me, I would not buy his book just to learn about fight or flight.

In my case, it ended up being my gut that was causing the palpitations. I assume its only when you lay down right? If so, then it could be gut irritation is stimulating your vagus nerve (big nerve ending near the stomach).

I eliminated dairy, and started taking aloe vera and glutamine and my palps are 99% gone. If I eat dairy, or take something that irritates my stomach the palps are back.

Other potential issues could be high cortisol (take seriphos?), or an allergic reaction of some kind, or an adrenalin rush from something else.
