Certain areas of the country are more prone to stones than others. The common denominator is often hard water or well water. I live in an area known for hard well water by the county public water system. Some 20+ yrs ago I was plagued by stones. Shortly after that episode we just happened to get a $150(?) distiller for our drinking water since we had just moved into a home that had a cistern. Never had a problem since and never changed my diet. Some do recommend adding a little Sea Salt to mineralize the water somewhat since distilled is referred to as empty water and can leach minerals from the body.
Perhaps reverse osmosis (RO) water will do as well. You’d be amazed how much the bottom of the distiller collects, and all that crud would have otherwise ended up in me!!!
