Spinal tap for Lyme test?

Hi I started going to a new neurologist and he suggested he perform a spinal tap to determine if I have Lyme. He said blood work is not reliable and the only way to know for sure is a spinal tap. (Which he also said he can perform in his office).

Looking for opinions...
Is this good information? Has anyone here had this done?

Also, if I get it done what other tests can be performed? I feel like if I do this, I want to get tested for whatever else you can using spinal fluid. I've been very sick for over 4 years now (diagnosed with Meniere's disease, fibromyalgia and had cold urtercaria for 3 years then went away) I'm trying to get to the bottom of what has happened to my health.
