You can use Ozone for pest control.Fleas,bedbugs,Black Mold etc.

I got a Perma Vent 312 for my roof. Working great.
Didn't have to remove or fool with the shingles. About $33 after shipping if you can't find one at your local Home Depot or Lowes.
