bear in mind oncology refers only to a 5 year survival limit, and so if someone dies in year 6 or beyond, they are still a survival statistic.!!!

Yes, I am aware of that. Also that Statistics can be made to say whatever suits the person(s) agenda.

Personally the only statistics I use, and believe in is short term, along with other information that give me an edge against my bookie when picking the outcome of a sporting event. (G)
