Will my cats transport spores?

We were living in a rental house that had water damage 2 months ago that owners never fixed. It now has mold everywhere. We called a company to come do an inspection. He said it was so bad that we shouldn't stay there, he told us to get a hotel. We were already moving out b/c of the mold, we didn't even have a place but we were moving stuff in storage to get it out of there. The night the mold inspector told us that we left got new clothes & showered at the YMCA & went to a hotel. Our cats our still over at the mold house. They are going to stay at my mom's until we get a new place. I want to move them asap, but I don't know if their fur will transport the spores. I can't find any information about what to do with animal fur & mold.

p.s. We are waiting for lab results to see what mold we have, but I know it is one we are sensitive to. We have all had health problems, but my daughter has been really sick & had trouble breathing. She is already much better from having been in a hotel one night! Tweet
