Re: 173514--edit
Good find. I think that is absolutely right on. I was trying to figure out who Flodin NW is. Is he associated with anyone in this study? I was looking at a different post somewhere here a little while ago and it was sponsored by the egg people (oops Krosser I just realized it is in this thread, I do not find fault with the study, just an observation on industry sponsored studies. I do not discount their findings completely, just that some individuals have abnormal blood work for no apparent reason other than genetics. These people can eat eggs and other protein but for their best health we should put them on a varied raw vegetable salad usually.
Yes, very large fat free/cholesterol free meals high in available carbohydrates will cause a rise in cholesterol levels and all other blood markers that indicate risk of atherosclerosis and inflammation and spasming of arteries. But, so will a meal of animal foods with vegetables as a compliment on a regular basis. For susceptible individuals meals mostly of raw salads with small amounts of animal protein added seem most beneficial to arterial health.
I am still wondering about dairy. If it didn't contain calcium caseinate, I think I'd be fine with it. Does anyone think whey protein (bovine sourced) is okay?
