I was in the worst permanent brain fog for many months until I discovered I was both histamine and salicylate intolerant. I have been on the RPAH Failsafe Elimination Diet for about 6 weeks and the brain fog has finally lifted. I can only handle a handful of foods right now, but its given me quite a bit of relief. It took about a month for the histamine and sals buckets to empty. I tried every other thing under the sun and it seemed the "healthier" I ate the sicker I got. I was bed bound last month and this week I've packed and moved my entire apartment almost by myself. I still have days when I feel like I just need to rest, and I am now waiting on results of a stool test to see whats going on there but seriously I feel better than I have in 2 years since this whole nightmare started. I'm not on any supplements at the moment other than magnesium oil and a tablespoon a day of milk of magnesia. Rutabagas have been a superfood for me in terms of vitamin C content. I still have slight reactions to just eating alone- I'll feel kinda "trippy" for about 2 hours after a meal but so much better than the horrible feeling I used to walk around with. I don't consider myself to have Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome anymore and I am sleeping a solid 8 hours with no problem. No more hypoglycemia or heat/sun intolerance. I tried this approach as a last ditch effort and it turned out to be the only thing that has worked so far.
