Polyps in Cervix - 6wks Pregnant

I just came back from the doctor who informed me I have polyps in my cervix. I am 6.5 weeks pregnant - I have been struggling for almost 5 years to fall pregnant. With my previous pap-smear (last year June), there were no abnormalities.

The doc told me to see him in two weeks time again, so he can evaluate the polyps and see if they are clearing by themselves, and if not, he will remove them.

What causes polyps in the cervix? Is there anything I can do to make them go away? Change my diet? Any herbal remedies? I know Myrrh is good for mucus membrane type body parts, but as I understand it, Myrrh is not recommended during pregnancy.

I am a (recent) non-smoker and I am 37 years of age. I am taking 1000mg vitC in the mornings after breakfast, and a prenatal vitamin.
