Re: Black Hyphal Filament Rope Parasite

There's an obvious difference between these chaotic cocoon like fuzzballs:

and the twisted designs of the previous post. Maybe they have morphed/mated? Ugh! I haven't seen nearly as many of the "hyphal" kind. But I don't always even look anymore...

I never had hundreds at a time coming off, but in the beginning they were numerous. Many in the sheets in the morning, the shower, and just about all over. Then hopefully after the initial exodus the numbers die down. Try using a lint roller over your skin or wide clear packing tape to get a lot of them off at once.

Sounds like you've found a few things that are helping you and your little ones... Coconut oil smells good too! Do you ever take it orally? In my case using a small arm strap zapper seemed to help. At first I wore it 24/7! I've heard good things about magnets...

Funny you mentioned stimulating around the eye area as "setting them off". After getting my eyebrows waxed is when my trouble started. It swelled so bad and itched, then spread to my face and chin, and next itchy all over, although the lesions stayed mostly on the head and shoulders...

That Travelers Shield looks really interesting. Wonder if it works best as a preventative vs. trying to fight a full blown infection?
