NOTE: GMO crops (genetically modified crops) are not usually modified to be more nutritious or to have more benefits for humans. They are modified to increase profits by producing more bulk and/or faster growth AND to minimize losses by having high tolerances to heavy and frequent applications of herbicides and pesticides - and even to produce their own pesticides.
One slight problem: those GMO crops absorb and produce the pesticides and there is an ever increasing buildup on the land they are grown in, along with the air and water, of herbicides, pesticides (some pesticides have half lives of up to 150 years) and chemical fertilizers and growth enhancers. Meanwhile, our bodies and immune systems remain essentially the same as they have for 20,000 years and increased amounts of such dangerous chemicals in our food and our environment poison us more and more every day.
My advice: for the sake of you and your family, copy, print and use this GMO food guide and "Just say NO to GMO". Read More.
