Is it really just in our heads?

Can it really just be paranoia? I've been reading a lot of the posts here and it seems as though many are just assuming that they carry a bad odour just by looking at the reactions of other people or overhearing a comment which isn't particularly directed at them. I've seen so many posts where they've asked their friends, family members and even doctors who have confirmed that there is no bad smell.

Has anyone here finally realised that it was just paranoia?
