Re: Food Reactions

Interesting article Onwards. Our family has been mostly gluten and dairy free for years. All of my children have had reactions to wheat and dairy, but removing them alone did not solve their problems. We found that going grain free and limiting the starches we eat brought more health than just getting rid of gluten and dairy.

We currently make our own yogurt from non-homogenized organic milk and we seem to be tolerating it. In fact, it has helped me to have more normal stools. We occasionally eat cheese, but no milk.

A few weeks ago we had a "family celebration" and ate some food with wheat in it, not realizing at the time. The next day I felt awful and so did my husband. It did not cause me digestive upset, but I felt like I had been hit by a truck and I was very irritable. I didn't realize how much I was affected by it.
